Selespeed
The thrill and benefits of never having to take your hands off the wheel and being able to concentrate always on the road ahead. Selespeed is the sequential, clutchless transmission, with steering wheel controls: it synchronizes gearshifts, avoids losing revs and thus reduces the pause between one gear and the next, allowing the gearshift to be made more quickly.
To change gear, there are two paddles on the steering wheel: one on the right to move up through the gears, and another on the left to move down the gears. It comes complete with a joystick lever and an automatic City function for driving in city traffic. Available on the 2.0 versions of the Alfa 147 and 156.
