Auto Sportiva Opens Brand-new Alfa Romeo Showroom

Hong Kong – January 23, 2007 — Auto Sportiva Ltd (Auto Sportiva) opened its brand-new showroom in Hong Kong Island today. The new Alfa Romeo showroom is located at Shop A, AXA Centre, 151 Gloucester Road, Hong Kong. This thematic-designed Alfa Romeo showroom stands out from the others in terms of architectures and design concept – a unique blend of lifestyle and contemporary ambience which unveils a fascinating Alfa Romeo passion. At Alfa Romeo boutique showroom, there is more than meets the eyes.

To add luster to this remarkable opening, Auto Sportiva today also introduced the all-new Alfa 159. Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro (the award winner of “Car Designer of the Century by Global Automotive Elections Foundation in 1999), the Alfa 159 has attractive, aggressive yet tasteful sporty styling. The front features the signature vertical “shield”, which seems to be the starting point for the entire car. The all-new circular lights; the rear, tough and solid large pillars around the rear window, a twin exhaust pipe, and a small spoiler that gives the car the sense of style and practicality.

Alfa 159 comes with a choice of either the 2.2 JTS direct injection engine, or the 3.2 JTS V6 engine. These engines are designed to provide maximum driving performance and excellent pick-up. While the 2.2 JTS offers excellent performance, it delivers 185bhp and 90% of peak torque starts from 2500rpm of 230Nm. The 3.2 JTS V6, along with Q4 permanent fourwheel drive, guarantees sportiness and safety, which delivers 260bhp and peak torque of 322Nm 90% starting from 2000rpm, performing 12% more torque than previous 3.2. With the new 6-speed gearboxes, a sporty and comfortable drive is ensured. The Alfa 159 remains faithful to the great tradition of Alfa Romeo motor engineering.

To have the thrills and excitement not taken off from the steering wheel while focusing the road ahead, the new 6-speed selespeed (automatic manual) and 6-speed Q-tronic (automatic) provides sequential shift controlled from the steering wheel, allowing gearshift to be made more quickly.

Passing the strict Euro NCAP safety tests, scoring five stars – the top score – for the protection of occupants and four stars for child safety, the Alfa 159 has proved that it is among the very best in terms of safety.
